What is TosDiff?

TosDiff monitors Terms of Service, Privacy Policies, and other legal documents across websites. It automatically fetches documents on a schedule, detects when they change, and shows you exactly what was added or removed. You can receive email notifications when changes are detected.

How it works

• Documents are fetched periodically using either standard HTTP requests or a headless browser (for JavaScript-heavy pages).
• Each fetched document is cleaned and normalised into plain text.
• A SHA-256 hash is computed and compared against the previous snapshot. If the content has changed, a new snapshot is saved.
• You can browse recent changes on the home page, view the full text of any snapshot, or see a side-by-side diff between two versions.

Supported document types

Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund Policy, Children's Privacy Policy, Subscription Terms, Service Agreement, Service Fees, User Agreement, Code of Conduct, Acceptable Use Policy, DMCA Policy, Payment Service Terms, and more.

Some documents are showing errors. Why is that?

Some sites use bot blockers to prevent automated access. We're able to get past some of these, but not all yet. As a result, a few documents are in the system but can't be refreshed daily until we find other ways to fetch them.

Can I contribute?

Yes! Use the "Suggest a site" link at the top to add more documents to the site. We'll review it and add it to our daily checks.
